To minimize geotechnical risks, GBU’s engineering geologists provide a full spectrum of services using state-of-the-art technologies – from site investigation and ground assessment to expert supervision and final approval of foundation works across a wide range of construction projects.

  • Project-specific coordination and development of technically and economically optimized investigation concepts in close collaboration with planners and clients, based on design documents, archive data, and site inspections where required
  • Geotechnical field investigations and subsurface explorations, as well as soil mechanics and rock mechanics laboratory testing in accordance with current standards and guidelines in geotechnical and foundation engineering

NATIONWIDE ACCREDITED TESTING LABORATORY ACCORDING TO RAP STRA 15

  • Privately operated testing laboratory officially recognized nationwide by the Ministry of Transport of North Rhine-Westphalia for construction materials and mixtures used in road construction

QUALITY CONTROL & COMPACTION TESTING

  • Compaction testing as part of internal and external quality control in earthworks, civil engineering, and road construction
  • Dynamic probing using light dynamic penetrometers (DPL tests)
  • Static plate load tests in accordance with DIN EN ISO 18134
  • Dynamic plate load tests in accordance with TP BF-StB, Part B8.3
  • Determination of soil density in accordance with DIN EN ISO 18125 (e.g. densitometer testing)
