SOIL AND GROUNDWATER INVESTIGATIONS / MODELLING AND DESIGN
- Infiltration
- Retention
- Rainwater utilisation
Project-specific coordination and development of geological and hydrogeological investigation concepts in close collaboration with clients, planners, and authorities, based on available and researched geological and hydrogeological data.
- Exploratory drilling and installation of groundwater monitoring wells, tailored to specific hydrogeological requirements; evaluation of geophysical borehole measurement methods; planning and analysis of pumping and infiltration tests within the framework of water law approval procedures; additional soil physical laboratory testing to determine hydraulic parameters (e.g. permeability coefficient); groundwater analysis
- Interpretation of hydrogeological baseline data from field and laboratory investigations; numerical recording of groundwater levels and piezometric heads; preparation of groundwater contour maps; determination of hydraulic parameters; assessment of groundwater recharge rates; flow and contaminant transport modelling
- Preparation of hydrogeological reports for the design of catchment areas and delineation of protection zones; expert reports for approval procedures under water law related to soil extraction projects; planning and optimisation of temporary dewatering systems during the construction of engineering structures
- Design and dimensioning of rainwater infiltration systems in accordance with applicable standards and current DWA guidelines (e.g. DWA-A 138); supervision and inspection of construction works during the execution phase
- Preparation of funding applications, drilling notifications, and, where required, mining and water law approval documentation
- Concept development, coordination, and supervision of specialist services related to well construction
